Small Details
Sometimes the small details are the ones that make the most impact.
•
My little wooden tags, buttons and cork labels are a small detail that I’m really proud of. They are made by the lovely guys at JSLasercraft and add that finishing touch to all my pieces. When I sew one of their handcrafted tags onto one of my pieces, I get that satisfied feeling that only comes with being proud of my finished product.
•
That small detail makes such a difference to how I see my work and I hope that my customers will appreciate that too. Colour My Dreams is more than ‘just a hobby’, it’s my business and my passion.
•
The small stuff is just as important as the big ideas that move a business forward. Don’t be scared to give the small details some big attention. I spent a lot of time searching for the right business and product for my labels and buttons. I needed to know that the wood they use was sustainably and ethically sourced and I really wanted to support another small business.
•
My wooden labels and buttons might be the small details that finish off my work, but the story behind them, why I use them, why I purchase them from the guys a
JSLasercraft and why it matters that they are handmade and sustainable; are the big things that help my business stay true to my
beliefs and values.
