In a couple of months time, I’ll be leaving the UK to start a new life in France. I’m hoping to eventually bring Colour My Dreams back to life in the South of France. Being true to its name, I will be finding a way to fulfil all of my dreams for this little business. It will continue to be full of eco-friendly, sustainable colour, fun and so much more. If all goes to plan, (and let’s be honest, life’s twists and turns can be rather challenging) I’d love you to join me again one day.

It's time for change...
This day was always going to come, the day I say au revoir to all of you who signed up to my newsletters, visited my website, bought my products and offered kind words of support. Many of you did that regularly and I’m really grateful.
I’ve known for a long time that some major decisions would have to be made at this particular point in my life. It was a pre-determined event that was completely out of my control, so I decided to turn it into a moment that I could enjoy and look forward to. It’s a completely new start, a new adventure and a huge, scary change.

I’ve even had some lovely cards in the post from a few of you. It truly has been such a fun and rewarding few years.

I definitely won’t be putting down my tools, there will still be lots of creativity. For now it will mostly be furnishing and decorating my new dream home in the French countryside. Until then, it’s au revoir, but not goodbye!

Colourful Ramblings
Life has been somewhat topsy turvy for the past few years. With Covid affecting the whole world and then my own little world being challenged with the tedium that comes with trying to sell my house and move to somewhere new; I've been feeling somewhat overwhelmed. The one constant in my life has been my yarns, hooks and needles. I honestly think they are to thank for getting me through the past four years with a semblance of sanity in tact.
If I was to rank 2022 on a scale of 1 - 10, it's a solid 5. Neither wonderful nor disastrous, in school report terms, "could do better".
A new life and a new start is in reaching distance, I just have to be patient. I’ll keep doing the right things to make it happen and hopefully, before long I’ll be sharing with you my new adventure.
It took a pandemic to make me realise that I am enough. Yes, the me that I am today is more than enough, I don’t need to be anything more. I discovered that I don’t need to wear make-up and wash my hair every day (yes, I used to wash it every day - how ridiculous was that) and my pared back wardrobe was more than enough too.
Retail is a competitive world, I’m sure I don’t need to tell you that. For anyone who shops as a leisure activity or simply out of necessity, finding a bargain is what is on most people’s minds. Etsy provides a platform for comparing prices, not products. I wonder how many people who purchase from an Etsy shop really do some homework about the business they are buying from.
